Kinda bad on PASSION
Yknow, I'm sure it's good but tbh it's messy and has double chapters, I don't have a lot of patience and I don't want to constantly scroll back up to click "official translation".

Rocks on Pick Me Up
🏅
The Shonen Genre's roots are usually staunchly entrenched into power fantasy. We like MCs to be in control. The nature of that control can be based on informational asymmetry (like in regression, game transmigration, or reincarnation tropes) or in power disparity (and in this case it relies on power growth and RPG mechanics. Eh, when well done.).
There are rare exceptions: stories in which the struggle, the very much real existential peril, take the front stage. I Became the Tyrant of a Defense Game comes to mind.
If badly executed, it's mere torture pørn. If it's quality stuff, prepare your àss for one of the most thrilling reading experiences you can get. Thankfully, this one is a model student.
Art? Majestic. From character design to environments. Top of the line shït, with the known style of this artist stuffed with budget up the àss, like usual.
Writing? Actually fine. The plot is interesting enough, the form is adequate.
Characters? Impressive, because making me care about a cast of this size, while picking its own battles and maintaining the balance in screentime, it's a feat worthy of the best gacha character rooster.
Action? From visuals to choreographies, to pacing, to style, to sheer frantic tension. Absolutely flawless. Absolutely always keeping you glued to the screen, without even relying on RPG OP bullshit. The powersets themselves are pretty basic for now, afterall, and MC's limited game knowledge is less pivotal than his sheer determination and talent for attaining victory.
It's a GAI (Grand Accolade of Ivern™️) holder. A trashy and inane concept elevated to a stunning execution. I'm too impressed to insult your mom this time. Thank the manga.
